What is the parade route?
The parade heads north on Polk and turns right on 3rd. It turns right again on to Taylor, past the old Potter County Courthouse. It will turn left on 6th and left again onto Buchanan. The drive follows Buchanan to 3rd and turns right on 3rd towards the Tri-State Fairgrounds. At the intersection with Marrs, the drive will turn right for a couple of blocks and then turn left on 10th to head into the fairgrounds under the lighted arch. The cattle will cover the route in about an hour. Spectators are encouraged to cheer on the cattle and riders from any point along the route.

What time does the event start?

  • The event kicks off at 10:00 AM sharp. 
  • You must load in and line up by 9:30 AM
     

Where do participants need to go for lineup?

  • Participants should arrive for the lineup at 9:30 AM and gather at the designated staging areas:
    • CCC, Horses & Police Officers: Between 11th & 12th on Polk St
    • Sisters on the Fly & Fast Draw Stage: 12th between Polk & Tyler
    • Classic Cars & Floats: Polk St Church parking lots at the SW corner of 11th & Tyler

 

Where will the cattle be held before the parade?

  • The cattle will be held in the field on the SE corner of 11th & Polk.
     

What is the lineup order?

  • The lineup order is as follows:
    1. Motorcycle Officers
    2. Longhorns
    3. Wranglers on Horseback
    4. CCC & Flag Girls on Horseback
    5. Sisters on the Fly
    6. Fast Draw Shoot Out (3 shootouts throughout the route: 1 on Polk St where the hanging lights start, 1 in front of the Civic Center/Embassy, 1 on 3rd St)
    7. Classic Cars with Pinup Girls
    8. Floats/Walkers
    9. All remaining cars/vehicles
       

Who is allowed to stage between 11th & 12th on Polk St?

  • Only CCC, Horses & Police Officers are permitted to stage in this area.
     

What are the staging locations for specific groups?

  • CCC, Horses & Police Officers: Between 11th & 12th on Polk St
  • Sisters on the Fly & Fast Draw Stage: 12th between Polk & Tyler
  • Classic Cars & Floats: Polk St Church parking lots at the SW corner of 11th & Tyler
     

How many Fast Draw Shootouts will there be?

  • There will be three Fast Draw Shootouts throughout the route: one on Polk St where the hanging lights start, one in front of the Civic Center/Embassy, and one on 3rd St.
