Amarillo National Bank's Route 66 Celebration Information

Thank you so much for being a part of the first Amarillo National Bank Route 66 Celebration- the finale event of the Texas Route 66 Festival! Here is where you'll be able to find all of the details for the day of the Celebration. 

Business Owners

Date: June 10, 2023 
Location: Historic Route 66 District (Georgia - Fairmont) 
Vendor Hours: 11 AM - 7 PM 

Street Closure/Traffic Control

  1. The main entrance to the festival will be on Georgia Street. We will close the street from Georgia to Fairmont, with the stage placed on Maryland Street facing East. 
  2. There will be barriers on each cross street, but there will only be full fencing at Georgia and Fairmont.
  3. There will be signs placed along the Historic Route 66 District 72 hours in advance of the ANB Route 66 Celebration stating that any vehicle parked on the street after 2 AM Friday night (Saturday Morning) will be towed. The police will begin towing cars left on 6th past 3 AM. Please communicate this to your guests on Friday, June 9th.

Solid Waste 

  1. The city will be sweeping the street on Thursday, June 8th, and sweeping again post-festival on June 11th. We will be using our own dumpsters, so no property owners or residents will have to worry about their dumpsters being filled up by festival trash.

Emergency Control

  1. We will have a total of 21 Officers, Fire Department trucks and personnel, and on-site EMS.

Environmental Health

  1. Porta Pottys will be dispersed throughout 6th street to avoid in-store use of restrooms



  1. Patrons will be directed to park at Grace Church. We will be offering complimentary shuttles from 10:45 AM - 7:15 PM. The shuttle will run from Grace Church to the ANB Route 66 Celebration every 15 minutes. The shuttle will add the Summer Free for All at Sam Houston Park to the route from 4:45 PM - 7:15 PM. 
  2. No vehicles will be allowed inside the barricades after 9 AM


  1. Vendors will be lined directly south of the middle of the street.
  2. One side of the street has to be completely clear for emergency vehicles to be used if necessary.
  3. Vendor set up is 8 AM to 10 AM.
  4. No vehicles will be allowed inside the barricades for load out after 9 AM.

Setup Entry

  1. The street will be barricaded by your arrival time. Please enter your vehicle/check-in at Mississippi St & 6th (next to San Jacinto Christian Academy). At this time you will be directed to your booth. 
  2. Booths will be set immediately south of the middle of the street to allow one full lane for emergency vehicles. This is non-negotiable via the Office of Emergency Management. 

Setup Time: 8 AM - 10:30 AM 

  1. NO vehicles will be allowed on the street after 9 AM; please unload everything you need from you vehicle and then park it
  2. You must be completely set up by 10:30 AM

  1. During the festival, you can park in the parking lot located behind San Jacinto Christian Academy. It is between Mississippi and Louisiana on 5th Ave. There is also a parking lot behind Sixth Street Antique Mall available for use.

  2. Patrons/vendors participating in the ANB Route 66 Celebration can park at Grace Church and take the complimentary shuttle that will be running every 15 minutes starting at 10:45 AM. The last shuttle will run at 7:15 PM. 


Breakdown is at 7 PM. No cars will be allowed on 6th until after the crowd has cleared. You will enter through the same entrance you came in through for setup (South Carolina St & 6th next to San Jac Academy). Vendors are responsible for cleaning their area at the end of the day. Please throw away your trash in the provided dumpsters.

Additional parking will be available at Grace Community Church. Free buses will run from the church parking lot in 15-minute intervals from 10:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Free buses to and from the Summer Free for All event at Sam Houston Park will run from 4:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in 15-minute intervals.
