  • Amarillo Museum of Art offers a free, enriching experience for the family, showcasing diverse collections from regional and international artists.
  • The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum celebrates the history and legacy of the American Quarter Horse through engaging exhibits and interactive displays.
  • Don Harrington Discovery Center offers an exciting, hands-on science and discovery experience for all ages, with interactive exhibits and live demonstrations that inspire curiosity and learning.
  • Panhandle-Plains Museum, the second-largest history museum in Texas, offers an immersive journey through the rich heritage of the region, featuring extensive exhibits on everything from dinosaurs to the Old West.
  • Catch the Amarillo Wranglers hockey team in action this holiday season.

Enjoy holiday performances by Amarillo’s finest. Catch Lone Star Ballet's signature performance of The Nutcracker and enjoy the Amarillo Symphony beloved Happy Holiday Pops performance. Local theaters, galleries, and performing arts groups also bring seasonal shows and creative experiences to life throughout the month.

 

Holiday Lights 

 


The most wonderful time of the year would not be complete without holiday lights and Santa! Enjoy over 20 attractions at Amarillo Lights at Maxwell's and meet the man in red yourself, snap a photo, and make those last-minute wish requests. 

Amarillo Botanical Garden’s Christmas in the Gardens is also a local favorite. See over 400,000 lights, carolers, Santa, and even The Grinch!

If it’s too cold out, hop in the car, grab some hot cocoa and drive down Candy Cane Lane. Head down Gainsborough Road near Westgate Mall to view thousands of lights and traditions.
