Welcome to the Texas 66 Album Cover Contest, where your artistry can shine on the cover of the next Texas 66 Coin Cruise Album. Not only will your masterpiece travel across the legendary Texas Route 66 and be distributed worldwide, but you'll also seize the chance to win a cash prize of $1,500. Plus, your artwork will take center stage on Visit Amarillo's social media accounts and VisitAmarillo.com, featured alongside an online gallery showcasing the talents of artists from all around.
We invite all artists of all levels to submit their creative interpretations of Texas Route 66’s spirit. Your artwork should reflect the rich history of the iconic highway, road tripping, nostalgia, and celebrations.
Terms and Conditions
By participating in the Texas 66 Album Art Contest, all entrants agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Eligibility:
The contest is open to artists of all skill levels.
You must be age 18+ to participate.
Submissions must be ORIGINAL artwork created by the entrant.
Multiple entries are allowed.
2. Submission Guidelines
Artwork Specifications
Medium: all forms of visual art art accepted, including paintings, drawings, digital art, and photography. Non-digital artworks must be scanned and submitted as a digital file.
Size: Submissions should be at least 12.25 x 12.25 inches in dimension with a minimum resolution of 400 dpi for digital art.
File Format: Digital entries should be submitted in .png format in CMYK.
If you are selected as the winner, you will be asked to provide a high-resolution file for printing.
Theme
Your artwork should embody the spirit of Texas Route 66, focusing on road-tripping, nostalgia, celebrations, and the upcoming centennial. Feel free to draw inspiration from iconic landmarks along the route.
Originality
Submissions must be original and not previously published or displayed in any other contest or public forum.
Copyright
The artist must be the sole author and owner of the copyright.
Entrants should ensure their artwork does not infringe on copyright or intellectual property rights. Do not use any copyrighted logos, characters, or brand names.
How to Submit:
Deadline: The submission deadline is 5 PM (CT) on Friday, November 8, 2024.
Submission Process: Upload your artwork in the file uploader above. Please include your name, contact information, and a brief description of your artwork and any social media handles you would like to be credited with.
3. Prizes:
The winning artist will receive a cash prize of $1,500.
The chosen artwork will be featured on the cover of the Texas 66 Coin Cruise Album.
4. Usage Rights
By submitting your artwork to this contest, you grant the Amarillo Convention & Visitors Bureau the right to use your artwork in perpetuity for promotional purposes, including but not limited to event posters, merchandise, and online and offline marketing.
5. Judging and Selection
ACVB Staff will select the winning artwork.
Winners will be announced on December 13, 2024, on our official website and social media channels.
The decisions of the judging panel are final and binding.
6. Disqualification
ACVB reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates contest guidelines or engages in fraudulent or unethical behavior.
Entries with lewd content will not be accepted.
7. Privacy
Personal information collected from entrants will be used only for the contest and will not be shared with third parties.
8. Modifications
ACVB reserves the right to make changes to the contest rules & guidelines, including the deadline and prizes, at its sole discretion
9. Legal Compliance
Entrants are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations while participating in the contest.
10. Release of Liability
ACVB is not responsible for any lost, late, or misdirected entries or for any technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind.
This contest is subject to the laws of the state of Texas. By participating in the contest, entrants acknowledge that they have read and agreed to these terms and conditions in their entirety. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in disqualification from the contest.
