Blues-rockers Cody Jasper and Johnny Reverb will headline an October Yellow City Sounds Live concert.
The intimate concert — a joint production of Panhandle PBS and Amarillo College's FM90 — is scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Panhandle PBS studio, 2408 S. Jackson St.
Jasper, an Amarillo native, now makes music in Austin and expects to release his latest full-length album in November. Reverb, an Amarillo blues legend, was on the frontlines of the Austin music scene before returning around 2000 to Amarillo, where he was one of Jasper’s earliest musical mentors.
Admission is $10. Space is limited, and tickets are required.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
If you are not in your seat by 6:50 p.m., we will release the seat and give it to someone on the waiting list. The show starts promptly at 7 p.m. and will be streamed live and filmed for later broadcast, so we cannot allow late arrivals inside the main studio. If you do arrive late, you may watch the concert in the adjacent studio.
Support for this concert is provided by the Gilliland Family Foundation, Reed Beverage and Hampton Inn — Amarillo West.
