The inaugural HOODOO Mural Festival was held in 2019 after a visionary group of Amarillo citizens came together with the idea of creating an outdoor public art gallery that added to Amarillo's downtown landscape in a vibrant and unique way.
Over the span of a week, local and non-local artists transformed five walls in downtown Amarillo into beautiful works of art. The murals have become one of the most talked-about features of downtown and have started to attract visitors from around the country.
After taking a year off due to the pandemic, the HOODOO Art Foundation Board is extremely excited to announce the 2021 festival!
This year's festival will include food trucks, kid-friendly activities, beverages, live music, and of course, the unveiling of FIVE new murals in downtown!
