This exhibition will present highlights of The American Quarter Horse Journal over its 75 year history. It will feature historic covers of the publication, artifacts which depict how it was produced, and images that bring back memories of the people and pivotal moments which have shaped this award-winning magazine.
The American Quarter Horse Journal, American Quarter Horse Association's official publication, was established in September 1948 to promote the American Quarter Horse and provide a reasonably priced place for AQHA members to advertise their horses. Today, the Journal, which is sent to all AQHA members as a benefit of their membership, celebrates the lifestyles that those members have built around their American Quarter Horses. Headquartered in Amarillo, Texas AQHA is the world's largest equine breed registry and AQHA members are those who own, breed, train, show, race and love American Quarter Horses.
